Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Paki Logistics LLC (“Paki Logistics,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our website, our PAKTMS software and our PAK Driver mobile app. We wrote it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email joe@pakilogisticsllc.com.
1. Who we are
Paki Logistics LLC is an interstate for-hire motor carrier (USDOT 3730823, MC-1316919) that also develops and licenses the PAKTMS transportation management system.
- Physical address: 136 Shelding Way, Delaware Water Gap, PA 18327
- Mailing address: 95 Dyer Ave, Clifton, NJ 07014
- Email: joe@pakilogisticsllc.com · Phone: (862) 505-1414
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- The website at pakilogisticsllc.com (the “Website”).
- PAKTMS, our transportation management system, including the Windows desktop app and cloud sign-in from a web browser (“PAKTMS”).
- PAK Driver, our mobile app for truck drivers (“PAK Driver”).
Together we call these the “Services.” When a trucking company (a “Customer”) uses PAKTMS and PAK Driver for its own operation, that company controls the business data it enters about its loads, drivers and equipment. We process that data on the Customer's behalf to provide the Services.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Website
- Forms. Our quote, driver application, owner operator application, PAKTMS demo and contact forms do not send data to a server. When you press submit, your own email app opens with a pre-filled message to joe@pakilogisticsllc.com. We receive only what you choose to send, such as your name, company, email, phone, lane and load details, CDL and experience details, truck and trailer details, and any notes.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Google Firebase Hosting) may log standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and operation. The Website loads fonts from Google Fonts and an embedded Google Map on the Contact page, which means Google may receive your IP address and browser information when those load. We do not use advertising cookies or sell website data.
3.2 PAKTMS (desktop app and cloud sign-in)
- Account information: name, email address, company name, role and sign-in credentials.
- Operational data the Customer enters or imports: loads, rates, broker and shipper contact details, dispatch records, driver profiles, equipment details, and documents such as bills of lading (BOL), proofs of delivery (POD), lumper receipts and rate confirmations.
- Driver compliance data: CDL and medical card details and expiration dates, and other driver documents the Customer chooses to track.
- Payroll and accounting data: pay type (owner operator, per-mile or percentage), load pay, deductions and paystubs.
- Load search data: search criteria and load results retrieved from load boards and broker APIs that the Customer connects (for example Echo and Truckstop), using the Customer's own credentials with those services.
- Call data: when you use the built-in softphone, phone numbers dialed or received, call times and durations, and the business number used. Your microphone and speakers are used to carry the call audio. We do not record call audio unless a feature for that is clearly shown and enabled.
- Truck location data: GPS positions of trucks received from the Customer's Samsara account, used to show trucks on the live map.
- Technical data: app version, device and operating system information, and error logs, used to keep the software working.
3.3 PAK Driver mobile app
- Account information: driver name, login email or phone number, and the company the driver works for.
- Loads and messages: the loads assigned to the driver, status updates and messages exchanged with dispatch.
- Scanned documents and photos: images of BOLs, PODs, lumper receipts and similar documents that the driver captures with the camera (see Device permissions).
- Location: if the driver grants location permission, the device's location, used to show load progress and position to the driver's dispatch team (see Device permissions).
- Notification token: a device push-notification token so we can alert the driver about new loads and messages.
4. Google user data
Some PAKTMS features connect to a Customer's Google account using Google OAuth, only after a user signs in with Google and approves the requested access. We ask only for the access needed for the features the Customer uses:
- Google Drive: to save, organize and open business documents created or used in PAKTMS (such as BOLs, PODs, lumper receipts, rate confirmations and paystubs) in the PAKTMS folders the app creates or the folders you choose. PAKTMS does not browse, read or change other files in your Drive beyond what those features need.
- Gmail: only for the email features you choose to use inside PAKTMS, such as sending load documents or paystubs from your own account. PAKTMS does not use Gmail data for any other purpose.
Limited Use. PAKTMS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features of PAKTMS that you can see in the app.
- We do not sell Google user data.
- We do not use or transfer Google user data for advertising, including retargeting, personalized or interest-based ads.
- We do not use Google user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- We do not transfer Google user data to others except as needed to provide or improve the features you use, to comply with applicable law, for security purposes, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets with notice to you.
- No person at Paki Logistics reads your Google user data unless you give us permission for specific messages or files (for example, for support), it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, it is required to comply with law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
You can disconnect PAKTMS from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Files already saved to your Google Drive stay in your Drive under your control.
5. Device permissions
Our apps ask for permissions only when a feature needs them, and you can change them at any time in your device or operating system settings.
- Camera (PAK Driver): used only when you choose to scan a document. The app captures the image, automatically crops it to the document edges, and uploads it to your company's PAKTMS account (and, where your company has connected it, its Google Drive). We do not access the camera in the background.
- Photos / storage (PAK Driver): if you choose to attach an existing image instead of scanning a new one.
- Location (PAK Driver): used to share your position with your dispatch team while you are working on loads. If you deny location permission, the rest of the app still works, but location-based features will not. Truck location in PAKTMS may also come from your company's Samsara GPS devices, which are governed by your company's arrangement with Samsara.
- Notifications (PAK Driver and PAKTMS): used to alert you to new loads, load changes, new matching load-board results and messages. You can turn notifications off in your settings.
- Microphone (PAKTMS softphone): used only during calls you place or answer through the built-in softphone.
6. How we use information
- To provide, operate, maintain and support the Services and their features.
- To respond to quote requests, driver and owner operator applications, demo requests and messages.
- To run our own trucking operation, including dispatch, safety compliance and driver pay.
- To send service messages such as load notifications, security alerts and support replies.
- To keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix bugs.
- To comply with legal obligations, including federal and state transportation, safety, employment and tax rules.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
7. How we share information
- Within your company: data in a Customer's PAKTMS account is visible to that Customer's authorized users. For example, a driver's scanned documents and messages are visible to their dispatch team.
- Service providers: companies that help us run the Services, such as cloud hosting and storage, authentication, push notifications and telephony providers, under obligations to protect the data and use it only for us.
- Integrations you connect: Google (Drive and Gmail), Samsara, load boards and broker APIs, which receive or return data only as needed for the features you use, under your own accounts with them.
- Freight partners: for loads hauled by Paki Logistics, we share load documents and status updates with the broker or shipper on that load.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, regulation, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our drivers, customers, the public or us.
- Business transfers: as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.
8. Data retention
- Account and operational data is kept while the Customer's account is active and deleted or anonymized within 90 days after the account is closed, unless the Customer asks us to delete it sooner or we must keep it longer by law.
- Driver and trucking records may be kept for the periods required by law, for example FMCSA driver qualification, hours-of-service and drug and alcohol testing record rules, and tax and accounting rules.
- Emails from website forms and applications are kept for as long as needed to respond and for our business records, typically no more than 3 years for applications not resulting in hire or lease, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Google user data: we keep only what is needed to provide the feature you use. Access tokens are deleted when you disconnect your Google account or delete your PAKTMS account. Files saved to your own Google Drive remain in your Drive until you delete them.
- Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule, normally within 30 days.
9. Account and data deletion
You can ask us to delete your PAKTMS or PAK Driver account and the personal data connected to it at any time by emailing joe@pakilogisticsllc.com with the subject “Account deletion request.” Please send it from the email address on the account, or include enough detail for us to identify the account (name, company and app).
- We will confirm your request and, after verifying it, delete your account, profile, sign-in credentials, device tokens, location history and stored Google access tokens within 30 days.
- Some records may be kept where the law requires it (see Data retention) or where they belong to the trucking company you drove for, such as signed delivery documents and pay records. We will tell you if any data is kept and why.
- Drivers whose company uses PAKTMS may also ask their company to remove their account.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us right away at joe@pakilogisticsllc.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
11. Your choices and rights
- You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing joe@pakilogisticsllc.com.
- You can turn off camera, location, microphone and notification permissions in your device settings.
- You can revoke PAKTMS's Google access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. We will honor those requests as required and will not discriminate against you for using them.
12. Children
The Services are built for businesses and professional drivers and are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Services change. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date, and if changes are significant we will give additional notice, such as in the app or by email.
